Afriqiyah Airways was formed in April 2001 to connect the AFRICAN continent with rest of the world.

The name, Afriqiyah, denotes Africa in the Arabic language and Afriqiyah Airways is moving quickly to make good on its promise to lead the continent's aviation industry into the 21st century with modern aircraft painted in striking colours of red, green, yellow & black reflecting the colors of AFRICA.

Our IATA code is 8U and our accounting code is 546.

We currently have service from major European gateways to Tripoli, capital of Libya.
